Team, update from HWC. Seems to be further delays due to the wet weather.

Community update:

Since September 2019 ongoing rain events have impacted the project, with more than 170 days of scheduled work being delayed due to wet weather events. Wet weather disrupts work for a number of days following each rain event, while clean up occurs and groundwater subsides from excavations. Due to the very high groundwater tables in some areas of Wyee, it can take weeks for works to recommence.

Due to the above mentioned weather and site impacts, along with the recent severe weather, Hunter Water regretfully would like to advise Wyee residents that the project's completion date has now been delayed with commissioning expected before the end of May 2021 (subject to future weather conditions).

Hunter Water will formally notify the community with written correspondence once the new sewer system is available for connection and/or if any changes to the connection process emerge.

Q: How do I have my property connected to the Wyee sewer line?

The first step is to call us on (02) 4968 3822 to arrange a no-obligation free quote tailored for your property. We’ll come to your home, meet with you to discuss your needs, and design the best solution for connecting your property to the sewer line. We’ll provide you with a detailed quote and talk you through it so that you’re clear on each element. Once you decide to go ahead, you pay a 10% deposit and we’ll schedule your property’s connection.
